Ankita Jain founder at Purple & Pure

Hi, My name is Ankita and I moved to Singapore 4 years ago when my husband got a transfer here from Australia in 2017.

I started Purple & Pure after moving to Singapore and having my first child, with the goal of helping people find eco-friendly, plastic-free essentials in their everyday life. After I had my first child I opted to use cloth nappies to reduce plastic waste and save money, but this really set me off on my Zero Waste Journey. With zero waste now on my mind, we started to try to reduce our plastic consumption and contribute towards a sustainable future.

Also I always dreamt of running my own business and wanted to do something that I really cared about, a small one so my son grows up in a safe and pure environment. Knowing the devastating impact of plastic pollution, I decided I wanted to be part of this movement to reduce plastic consumption by offering sustainable alternatives.

Purple and Pure sell products that help environmentally conscious consumers reduce their plastic use. We offer a line of grocery bags, tote bags and multipurpose pouches made with organic cotton that are perfect when shopping for fruits, veggies, grains, and nuts at the supermarket. Organic cotton fabric of our products is a healthy alternative to the chemical-laced goods sold in stores.

All Our Products are GOTS Certified Organic Cotton. GOTS is a textile production certification that limits the use of toxic bleaches, dyes, and other chemical inputs during the production process of textiles. It assures that textiles are truly organic, nontoxic, and made in a way that respects poor farmers and Earth.

We pride ourselves on providing products that are socially and ecologically responsible. We believe even the smallest of change we make in our every day can have a big impact on our future.
