SOROR - The Sisters Edit (“SOROR”) is an online community that connects women around the globe, forging alliances.

HeySOROR, a product by SOROR, is on a mission to provide a safe, inclusive space for women to connect, talk openly, honestly, and share with each other. Working with a goal to empower each other by being a role model, offer support, celebrate each other's wins, and look for opportunities to promote other women.

The following Terms of Use (“TOU”) applies to the entire contents of www.sororedit.com and SOROR’s mobile application including participation in bulletin boards, forums, and blogs of www.sororedit.com, mobile application, HeySOROR and all associated sites linked to www.sororedit.com (collectively called “Websites”).

Please read these terms carefully before using the Websites. Using the Websites will be considered as your acceptance of all the terms and conditions of the TOU regardless of whether or not you choose to register with us. If you do not accept these TOU you must leave the Websites immediately.

We recognize how important it is to feel safe online, so these guidelines outline what is and is not welcome on our platform. If your activity breaches our guidelines, you may lose access to the Websites. Having said that, we want you to know that we do not endorse any opinion, view or recommendation of any user. We are not responsible for any unlawful or inappropriate content submitted or posted by any user.
1. Your use of the Websites

A. In order to use the Websites, you need to be 18 years of age or older. You also need to be a person who is capable of (a) giving free consent, and (b) entering into a valid contract. If you are below 18 years of age, then you need consent of your parent or guardian to use the Websites, and your parent or guardian must agree to all the terms and conditions set out in this TOU and SOROR’s Privacy Policy available here.


B. We reserve the right to modify, revise, alter or amend these TOU at any time and without giving prior notice. By accessing or continuing to access the Websites, you agree to accept any and all modifications, revisions, alterations or amendments made to this TOU.


C. Unless otherwise specified, the Websites are intended for your personal and non-commercial use only

2. Your conduct

    Having a diverse community with varied backgrounds helps every woman feel seen, heard, and welcome on the platform. Our community welcomes both cis gender and transwomen.

    SOROR and HeySoror are built on trust and having an authentic community helps us create safe space. Treat each other with kindness and be respectful of others' opinions.

  • - Meaningful Conversations
    Finding connections through shared experiences helps us know we’re not alone. Listen, support, share and pay it forward.

  • - Respectful Conversations
    We understand the imperfect nature of womanhood but be respectful of others' opinions.


A. You may not use the Websites to commit any act that is likely to disrupt, damage, interrupt, impair or affect the operation and functioning of the Websites in any manner.


B. You agree to use the Websites for lawful purposes only.


C. You may not use the Websites to provide, submit, publish, transmit or share any graphics, text, photographs, images, video, audio, illustrations or any other data, information or content (“Material”) that constitutes junk, mail, spam, advertising, commercial offers or promotion for goods, digital products and services.


D. You may not use the Websites to provide, submit, publish, transmit or share any Material:
● which is incorrect or false;
● which is illegal or unlawful;
● which is offensive, harmful, pornographic, defamatory, obscene, indecent, sexually explicit or amounts to sexual solicitation, libellous, invasive of another’s privacy, discriminatory, hateful, violent or abusive;
● which attacks, insults, abuses any race, religion, sexual identity, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, caste, creed, disability, socioeconomic status or age;
● which impersonates any person or entity, misrepresents any person or entity or misrepresents association with any person or entity;
● which threatens, bullies or harasses any person in any manner;
● which is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, impermissible under law, or which you do not have the right to post or transmit;
● which breaches the intellectual property rights of any third party (including SOROR or any of its affiliates, without limitation); and
● which interferes with or disrupts any part of the Websites or contains any unwanted programs including any virus or files or codes that could be malicious or harmful for any computer system or resource used for hosting the Websites or HeySOROR or any part of the Websites or HeySOROR.


E. You may not use the Websites to:
● promote or offer wish lists or gifting sites,
● request payment or link to payment websites,
● request for financial aid or via external websites,
● post about money raising for self or on behalf of other individuals, or
● promote social media accounts for the purpose of recruitment.


F. We do not encourage creating or having duplicate or shared accounts. You may be blocked from accessing the Websites if you are found to have engaged in such conduct.


G. Reporting bad behaviour will help in keeping our community safe. However, this tool should not be misused. e.g., reporting any conduct in retaliation to personal disagreements is not permitted.


H. You have to maintain confidentiality of your account and registration details.


I. You represent and warrant that any Material you provide, submit, publish, transmit or share on/ using the Websites is true, accurate and complete, and you agree to keep it that way at all times.


J. You may not use any device, program, software, process, algorithm or technology to copy, reproduce or gain unauthorised access to any part or content of the Websites including any Material provided, published, transmitted or shared on the Websites, without express prior written consent of SOROR or HeySOROR.


3. Licensing and Indemnity


A. By providing, submitting, publishing, transmitting or sharing any Material on/ using the Websites, you agree that you are granting SOROR, its affiliates and the management and employees of SOROR and its affiliates, a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and royalty-free licence to use, distribute, publish, promote, market or advertise any part of the Material you provide, publish, submit, transmit or share on the Websites, in any manner and for any purpose including commercial use. By providing, submitting, publishing, transmitting or sharing any Material on/ using the Websites, you agree that the rights mentioned in this clause can be exercised without notifying you or seeking any permission or attributing the Material or its part to you.


B. Contents of the Websites that are not provided, submitted or published by any user or visitor, including texts, graphics, logos, icons, photographs, images, audio clips, video clips and software are owned by SOROR and/or its affiliates and management. Anyone accessing the Websites will only have a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access/ use the Websites.


C. You shall indemnify and hold SOROR, its affiliates, and their predecessors, successors, directors, agents and employees, harmless from any costs, claims, damages, actions, penalties, fines and expenses, including legal fees, in respect of any Material you provide, submit, publish, transmit or share using the Websites or arising from your breach of this TOU or SOROR’s privacy policy available here (“Privacy Policy”).

4. What we can do


A. We reserve the right to monitor Material provided, submitted, published, transmitted or shared using / on the Websites by you. We have the right to remove any Material which in our opinion breaches terms and conditions of this TOU or the Privacy Policy.


B. We may without notice and in our absolute discretion remove (either permanently or temporarily), edit or archive any Material or a part thereof, provided, submitted, published, transmitted or shared using/ on the Websites.


C. We reserve the right to deny access to the Websites, to deny access to any event (“Events”), whether virtual or in-person, hosted, organised, advertised or sponsored by SOROR or any of its affiliates, and to suspend your registration and remove your account with the Websites at any time and without prior notice.

5. Third Parties


A. We may provide access to Material provided, submitted, published, transmitted or shared using / on the Websites, to third parties.


B. Links to third-party websites are provided solely for your convenience. We do not control, endorse, recommend and make representations about, and are not responsible for third-party websites or their content or availability. We are not responsible for any information, opinion, advice, statement, description or offer expressed or made available by third parties. We do not guarantee or are responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness, validity, truthfulness, completeness, reliability or quality of information or content provided / made available by third-party websites. Before accessing third-party websites, we strongly recommend that you read their terms of use and privacy polices. If you access any third-party website that is advertised or shown in any manner on the Websites, then you do so at your own risk. You are solely responsible for evaluating the risk of accessing third-party websites.


6. Service Access


While we endeavour to ensure that access to the Websites is available 24 hours a day and your access is uninterrupted, we shall not be liable if access to the Websites or any part thereof is unavailable at any time or for any period. We give no warranties as to the availability, performance or accessibility of the Websites. Access to and use of the Websites maybe suspended temporarily and without notice at our discretion including, without limitation, in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our control.

7. Disclaimers of warranty and limitation of liability


YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE USING THE WEBSITES AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE WEBSITES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” BASIS. WE AND OUR AFFILIATES HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS AND IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, RELIABILITY, TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR ANY OTHER WARRANTY, CONDITION, GUARANTEE OR REPRESENTATION, WHETHER ORAL OR IN WRITING. 8. General


A. Our failure to or decision to not enforce any clause of this TOU is not a waiver of our right to do so at a later stage.


B. In case of any dispute, the courts in New Delhi shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to deal with the disputes.


C. In any clause of this TOU becomes illegal or invalid or unenforceable under any law in India, the clause shall be deemed to be severed from this TOU.
