As promised in my last blog here are the recipes for Hummus and Tahini Sauce. Believe it or not, these are the very first dips I learnt to make and possibly the only thing I have been making for the larger part of my life. My husband is a die-hard fan of hummus, so being the good wife, I had to learn to make it for him. Fortunately, it turned out great and ever since he has eaten the hummus prepared by me, he simply doesn't want to order hummus from the restaurant.
HUMMAS
1. 1 cup boiled chickpeas2. 1 table spoon curd
3. 4 garlic clove
4. 1 tea spoon tahini
5. Lemon juice
6. Salt
7. Olive oil
Put all the ingredients in a grinder and adjust the consistency by adding curd as needed.
TAHINI
1. 1/2 cup Tahini2. 1/4 cup water
3. 1/4 cup lemon juice
4. 2 garlic cloves (minced)
5. Salt to taste
6. 1/4 tsp cumin
