Dr Aishwarya - Twakk Ayurvedaa

Hello, Myself Dr.Aishwarya Ghotane founder of Twakk Ayurvedaa. I hail from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India; globally recognised for Kolhapuri Chappals. Though I come from a business background my Uncle and Aunt are from medical field hence I was always in awe with medical field ever since I was a kid.

I was quite sure I wanted to become a doctor but back then I knew Ayurveda only as Ayurvedic Spa Centre’s and once I had been to enquire at a college and I was asked why do you want to learn Ayurveda I answered naively saying I want to open my own Spa & the teacher couldn’t stop laughing and then he explained me what Ayurveda actually is and not as marketed as Spa Centres.

After the whole incident,I started  reading and met doctors which opened me to this completely new horizon of Ayurveda and I got to know Ayurveda is the most Ancient Indian Holistic Living Science and it made me more curious to learn about it.

I did my Under Graduation in Ayurveda, being it a 5.5 years comprehensive course where we are taught every branch of medical with its Ayurvedic as well as Allopathic aspects . We study from Grantha’s (Ayurvedic Scriptures) to name a few Charaka Sanhita, Sushruta Sanhita  which are in Sanskrit . Learning Sanskrit itself was  a task yet I managed to  bag good score every year while 1st rank in my third year.

For Post Graduation, I chose Dermatology & Cosmetology field  of my liking. Ayurvedic Dermatology is only there in 2 colleges with only 5 seats in Maharashtra; still I got selected in renowned college in Pune .

In 2020 during pandemic I came across many WhatsApp forwards misguiding people claiming it as Ayurvedic, that’s when I thought people should get authentic knowledge which lead to starting of  “Twakk Ayurvedaa’’ . Twakk - means Skin in Sanskrit and Ayurvedaa - Science of living . I started my Page on social media platforms and the response was overwhelming.

On Twakk Ayurvedaa, I share various health and skincare tips , recipes and blogs imparting the Ayurvedic knowledge. Within 2-3 months I started manufacturing Skincare products which are all natural and organic. I had an astounding patrons.

I am also on board for Amrutam Global for dermatology consultancy. During my course, I have done clinical trial on Alopecia Areata using Ayurvedic medications and have published articles in various Ayurvedic Journals. Currently, in this pandemic it’s my honour to be  working  at Covid Centre and serving  the patients .

This is just the start of my career full of hope, dreams and goals. I want to percolate the ancient Ayurvedic wisdom which is lost in this fast paced new aged world; and bring back this generation to our roots as the Twakk Ayurvedaa’s motto says “ Let’s break the trend and get back to our roots”.
