1. Brief Background, tell us who you are?
> I am an out and out, Delhi girl from a humble family background. Married and blessed with a son. A fitness enthusiast who got married to someone who was also into fitness and hence before I started my career as a fashion influencer I worked or rather helped my husband in running a successful business of fitness centres in and around Delhi. ‘TEAM CORE GYMS PVT LIMITED’. But really my full time job was taking care of our baby.
2. What got you into Social Media blogging?
> While I worked along with my husband in our company it was still his venture and he led it. And soon my son grew into an independent young teen who didn't really need constant supervision. This really left me with a lot of time on hand and a feeling of void. I was not ready to take on a regular 8-5 type of corporate job but didn't want to waste my time either.
With a little encouragement and a little push from friends and family, Social Media came to my rescue.
3. Has Social media helped you, personally?
> Social Media and my venture into this new world was slow but I have to say it really helped me develop my personality.
You might find it tough to believe but I was a very shy person, a total introvert. I would take quite a time to open up and make a new friend. But SM really changed that for me. It gave me confidence to communicate with strangers on my own terms. It became a channel for me to put my thoughts out to the world.
Like I said it took some time, I had to learn a whole lot of new tools for making a video / editing / content creation etc etc but slowly I started getting better at it and I started getting good responses. People liked what I was putting up and that obviously gave me more confidence. So ya I have to say SM did help me develop as a person.
4. Why did you choose Beauty & Fashion as your topic?
> Well that was a pure outcome of building on what I knew and liked and I think I was good at. Putting myself out there was a challenge enough, leave alone venture into an entirely new world.
5. What advice will you give to other girls / ladies who are getting attracted to this new way of communication?
> Like everything else it takes a lot of work and constant learning. Technology is changing so fast nowadays that we have to keep up with new feature releases on a day to day basis. One has to plan and keep developing content, video’s, pictures to keep the readers engaged and give relevant content.
5. Everyone looks at these beautiful pictures and settings, I am sure the process isn’t all that smooth. Tell us a bit about the hard work that goes behind these post’s?
> Absolutely, it's like making a short movie everyday. You have to first create the content, then plan the location, costume, makeup, do the shoot out, edits and then finally it goes live.
With all this, keep in mind that I am still a full time mother so those responsibilities don’t go away or can be ignored. So I definitely call myself a working mom :)
So yes I have to say it's a lot of hard work behind all my pictures / reels / videos, but when my followers appreciate it then everything becomes worth the trouble.
