Learn FirstAid

Keep your home FirstAid Kit ready

Being prepared is the key to managing any emergency efficiently, including a medical one. A well stocked first aid kit, kept within easy reach is one such tool and its a must for every home.

Check the expiry date: The most crucial things you need to keep in mind when it comes to medicines is that they have a shelf life and should be disposed of carefully once it goes beyond the expiry date.

Store in a cool, dark and dry place: Shelf life of medicines decreases if kept in a humid place. You must avoid keeping your first-aid kit in bathrooms or places that are humid or moist. Having said that medicines also need to be kept away from direct sunlight.

Please note:

1.  Above list of routine medicines is for adults only. For children below the age of 12 years, kindly contact the pediatrician.

2.  Any of the above medicines, although commonly used, are not risk free. The risks and benefits of any drug are constantly changing, therefore, make sure to consult a doctor before taking any of the medicines.

3.  You must maintain a record of blood group and any specific health issue that you or your family member have, so that in case of any medical emergency it can be used by the treating doctor.

4.  Make sure you document all the allergies you and your family members have.
