Being prepared is the key to managing any emergency efficiently, including a medical one. A well stocked first aid kit, kept within easy reach is one such tool and its a must for every home.
Check the expiry date: The most crucial things you need to keep in mind when it comes to medicines is that they have a shelf life and should be disposed of carefully once it goes beyond the expiry date.
Store in a cool, dark and dry place: Shelf life of medicines decreases if kept in a humid place. You must avoid keeping your first-aid kit in bathrooms or places that are humid or moist. Having said that medicines also need to be kept away from direct sunlight.
