Tell us a bit about yourself and your family.
I arrived in the United States decades ago alone. The struggle I was to endure became evident earlier on in my journey. My strong upbringing, primarily in a home full of adults, played an intricate part in my remaining stable amid the pain and suffering I endured.
Have you had any formal training or family business?
I had no formal entrepreneurial training before completing my DBA in December 20223. My mother operated her farm-to-market sales business in Jamaica but did not operate a business in England.
I guess the entrepreneurship trait was passed on through the bloodline. I never associated my mother’s business (which took place years before my birth) with me venturing into business. My mother never demonstrated any desire to carry out any of the entities I now spotlight in my business.
How did you come up with the idea for your business, and what was the process of turning that idea into a reality?
I drew inspiration from professionals featured in Ebony Magazine to start a business in my teen years.
How have you grown as a leader since starting your company, and what are some key lessons you've learned along the way?
When I decided to start a business, I geared up my mind to never walk away from the ideal. I conquered everything I encountered, trips and falls, but I always rose up to continue.
Can you tell us about when you faced a major setback or failure in your business and how you overcame it?
I had a made-up mind to endure every setback including being unsure of how to proceed in business.
How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals, especially during challenging times?
Prayer became my main business strategy, and following spiritual leadership. Now, that the time is right doors are opening for me. .
How do you balance your personal life with the demands of running a business?
I could not conduct my business with balance without my family.
My husband has been a strong arm by picking up the slack and supporting me wherever possible.
He was extremely supportive during my years of doctoral study by not allowing me to give up when the program became overwhelming.
What are your plans for the future of your business, and how do you see yourself evolving as a founder and leader?
I will follow where God has led me since this journey began with Him. I am working to develop the entities I currently have on my platform.
If you could go back in time and give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Remain open, but be aware of individuals who lurk in the shadows to rip you off.
What's the most unconventional thing you've done to grow your business, and what was the result?
I sought an author Sigrid deKaste and a local group that showed up at the right time that provided literal support and guidance that has been invaluable to my growth.

What's the most important lesson you've learned from a failure, and how have you applied it to your business?
You must rise again from the ashes of life and continue to venture forward. Determination is key for you to achieve your goals.
What's the most meaningful compliment or feedback you've ever received from a customer, and why did it resonate with you?
While I knew Making the Connector was a new concept, I had never heard it from anyone else. Sigrid deKaste spoke this to me, and it exploded within me.
If you had to choose one thing that makes your company truly unique and sets it apart from the competition, what would it be, and why?
Working to help individuals unlock the reason for their existence and how they can work outward their innate gifts and talents to change the course of mankind.
