Neha Sahu - PCOS, Instagram Blogger

Neha is the Founder of PCOS School - “Heal Inside to look good outside”

She is an MBA by profession. After having a successful corporate career, she switched to Health & Nutrition due to her immensely developed interest in the power of nutrition during her own PCOS journey.

She has struggled with PCOS for 9 years & have been managing her symptoms from the past 3 years. After reversing her PCOS symptoms naturally, she started an online PCOS women community few months back to help them learn & explore about their bodies & to provide them science backed information all at one platform. The community has grown in no time which developed her interest in creating an online PCOS School which has the content backed up with medical professionals and aiming to grow into a complete one stop solution for PCOS. Be it a masterclass, be it a self-learning course or meal plans or any PCOS symptoms management products.

Her Story-

Takeaway Message- “Focusing on ACTIONABLE steps instead of focusing on what’s trending on internet is what helps you in PCOS”

It was in 2013 when it all started. I was always ignorant about the symptoms like only to discover one day that I have PCOS. Believe me it becomes worse if you overlook. I gained about 20kgs in a matter of 2 years.

It was in 2016 when it really hit me hard by the symptoms like acne, weight gain & severe hair fall. Had irregular periods like always so that wasn’t much alarming to me & I was forced to see a doctor only to get prescribed pills which left me shocked, hopeless & depressed to know that I won’t be able to have a normal menstrual cycle without pills. Googling never helped. If I try to be honest, doctors weren’t a much help either & I think beyond a point only you can help yourself.

Being completely clueless about PCOS made even harder for me to deal with it.

I took medicines for about 2 years & started seeing side effects like breathlessness, acne was back, headaches & nutrient deficiencies which alarmed me and I discontinued medicines with the advice of experts and that’s when I started researching about it.

It was in 2017 when I changed my eating habits and moved to being more active than being a couch potato & Woah! I started seeing results which motivated me to work harder & take better charge of my body. I completely went off medication with the help of experts and curated more actionable steps instead of what’s trending on internet.

I lost about 12 kgs of weight after I made the right changes, I have cleared my acne long back & still exploring to manage other symptoms as well. PCOS management is always an ongoing process.

I think PCOS reversal is a self-awareness & self-exploration of your body. One advice that I would like to give to all the PCOS women is that- you cannot be ignorant about PCOS at any point in your life but be happy about the fact that it can be managed if you take care.

About @lookgoodinpcos community

It’s one of the most active & the fastest growing Instagram based community wherein Neha do post the content on PCOS, help women through queries & doubts with regular & consistent engagements. She connects with doctors & medical professional to provide genuine & authentic content.

When I started the community, the idea was only to share what have worked for me, seeing the immense trust & response from the followers, I felt more responsible & could not take the step back. I started connecting with various medical professionals to gather reliable information on my page. I started doing sessions with the professionals in various fields which might help women to gather some worthy takeaways to their endless doubts about PCOS & its symptoms.

The aim of my Instagram community is to create a platform for women suffering in silence to gain knowledge about PCOS from real life experience & learn to explore their own bodies. The agenda is to feel together & stay connected to each other through such platforms.
