I graduated from Delhi University with a degree in Economics Hons in 2003, and immediately pushed myself into an MBA from IMT, Ghaziabad. Then again, catapulted myself into a career in banking, real estate, trading, logistics......Till I realized I hadn’t found my calling.
I wasn’t stopping anywhere to take a breath to see what resonated with me. Going through the motions of life, being a CEO/CFO wasn’t my end goal. I wanted more. But finding out what, was where my actual journey began.
Motherhood gave me that golden opportunity. A step back to breathe, view the larger picture, and see where I fit in.
I am now a person driven by passion, and able to give my complete commitment to projects I undertake, because now instead of whim, I function by conviction.
Passion allowed me to take certain ‘risks’, I earlier wouldn’t have considered, like pursuing my love for wines and educating myself through WSET programs.
Currently, I am a part of Recruit360, a firm built for the education sector. I also continue to enjoy blogging as Princesssmartypants, my witty & sassy alter ego.
Blogging gives me freedom to talk about things I wouldn’t normally discuss in-depth. I’m a curious mix of an introvert and an extrovert. And blogging allows me to be creative and outspoken, it brings out a side of me that had been waiting patiently to crack the surface for years. It’s an escape, as much as it is my voice.
So 16 years from my first job, I’ve finally found passion.
I’d say, take a risk, take a leap of faith, life rewards the brave!
