“When a woman is determined to do something, nothing in this universe is powerful enough to stop her” says Sonia Jain.
Sonia started her profession as a journalist and always aimed to raise her voice for things she believed in.
After her education she participated and won 'The India Bike Rally' (2009) organized by Yamaha and BIGADDA just to be able to win a bike. Post that she never looked back.
In 2016, Sonia Jain rode the Indian Chief vintage motorcycle on a 1,883 km long journey from Delhi to Goa for the India Bike Week, and then in 2017 her name got registered in the Limca Book of Records and India Book of Records for being the first woman to ride 100 different models of motorcycles, the highest in India as of Aug 2016.
As one of the best and top competitive motorcyclist and long distance riders in the country, Sonia Jain has a bold personality and influential persona. Her strong willed actions and resoluteness have been the symphony of true women empowerment. She encourages and mentors female riders with basic riding skills, riding rules and safety techniques.
Apart from riding she also loves travelling, basketball, running and cycling.
Of her most recent accomplishments In August 2018, Jain embarked on a 5000 km Tri-National ride from Delhi to Bangkok, Thailand via Myanmar.
Even though she faced various obstacles at different levels of her career, she showed that women don’t belong in four walls anymore. Sonia says ‘it is never easy to take the unconventional paths however with strong will power and focus, nothing is impossible’.
And with same will and dedication Sonia Jain today is known as a bold, competitive and a strong headed woman who rides super bikes for her passion as well as career.
