Supriya Pandey - Touchberry

Hi, I'm Supriya, CEO & Founder of Touchberry. 

Everyone’s life has an unique story and trajectory … well mine just seems to be many lives in one lifetime. Well look at me talking like an old lady already.

Born in 1984 I was fortunate enough to see some drastic technological and social changes through my life. From watching one episode of Mahabharata to continuously streaming videos. 

I have been a bookworm all my life and have preferred books over sports. After my schooling I did spend 4 years studying electronic engineering and then 10 years working in IT designing payment systems for few of the world’s leading banks. Everyday after a tiring day at office and being stuck in traffic jams to get back home I found my solace in kitchen and whipping eggs. I used to end up with so much baked or cooked dishes I started giving them to my friends. 

Soon I started a small home run baking business with simple bakes like tea time cakes and cookies. One such evening a client came over to my house and she had tears in her eyes … she said the cookies reminded her of her mom and how there kitchen smelled during those fun summer afternoons. That day I knew I had found my purpose.

I never feel I am in cake making business … I am proudly in business of happiness . These are not just cakes I bake … they are your emotions on a cake . From Spiderman jumping off the cake to a fashionista luxury cake to a retirement cake to a beautiful bible cake. I have had the opportunity to bake for 1000s of family in india and now in singapore .

I am an engineer by profession. And often engineers don't consider empathy and emotions in their design. But I do. I learned during my corporate stint in New York that "design needs courage" and "authenticity needs effort". In 2013, as a mother of a toddler, I found that cakes are not often TRUSTWORTHY, but are always PRICELESS. Priceless by design and trustworthy by ingredients. So, I founded Touchberry.
