Women-led Sports movies\ series on Netflix- Must watch

We have always heard some people say, "Play like a man"! But what if we say playing it like a girl never looked so good? As we already know, it's not always been easy for us women to work our way through the hardships we stumble upon. Many of us are driven towards sports and achieving our goals through it. In this case, sports movies and series have impacted us big time, don't you think? We get to see how courageous they are, their athletic ability, and so on.

We have mentioned some female-led sports movies where you will get to live it from a female perspective- a view that is often lost in the sports industry. Read on till the end, as they are definitely worth checking out!

A-League of Their Own- 1992

A classic movie that is directed by Penny Marshall will make it clear that there is no crying in baseball. You will see an all-girl team thriving to keep baseball in the public eye after World War 2 while the men were away. Watch this movie to understand that baseball isn't just a man's game!

She's the Man- 2006

In this movie, we see a girl do anything and everything it takes to play soccer. She even pretends to be her brother! Sounds so silly, right? In this movie, you will come across very inspiring scenes. One of them would be proving everyone wrong by achieving her goal. After all, women should not be discriminated against.

Girl fight- 2000

Michelle Rodriguez, a girl who loves to fight but unfortunately, she is doing most of it outside the ring! After watching her brother take boxing lessons, she finds her passion for the same. Her ultimate goal is to overcome the stigma of being a woman, especially when she is put against a man in the ring.

Offside- 2006

This is an Iranian film in which you will see a couple of girls fight their way to see their favourite sport, soccer. Since women were banned at male sporting events, it's a lot harder for them than it looks. The lengths they go through will make you hyped about the next sports event you go to!

Million Dollar Baby- 2004

Grab your tissues for this movie as you will come across a small-town girl who has immense love for boxing. She is trying to make it to the next level with her cranky coach, who doesn't think women are tough enough, and boy, does she teach him a lesson! You will definitely come to know why Hilary Swank won her second Oscar!

Whether you are an athlete yourself or you love watching women-led sports movies, these above-mentioned movies are a treat for your eyes. If you are looking for inspiration, this list will hype you up to another level. You will be inspired to deal with anything that society throws your way. Not only sports-related but in overall aspects as well.
